About the role

Enterprises rarely start from a blank page. They have existing clusters, security requirements, compliance obligations and teams with strong opinions. Rolling out a new platform means understanding all of that and designing something that fits.

As an Enterprise Architect, you'll lead the technical side of our most important customer relationships. You'll run discovery, design target architectures, guide rollouts, and be the person a customer's platform lead calls when the stakes are high. You'll also take what you learn back to our product and engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers and turn their requirements into a clear architecture and rollout plan
  • Design multi-cluster, multi-tenant setups covering networking, identity, security, observability and cost
  • Support sales on complex deals, from technical evaluation through to security and architecture reviews
  • Run workshops and architecture reviews with customer engineering teams
  • Write reference architectures and guides that the rest of the team and our customers can reuse
  • Act as the voice of enterprise customers in product and engineering discussions

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience as a solutions architect, platform engineer or similar, designing systems at enterprise scale
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and the surrounding cloud-native ecosystem
  • Production experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • A strong understanding of security and compliance in regulated environments, including identity, network policy, secrets and auditing
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform
  • The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both engineers and executives

Nice to have

  • Kubernetes or cloud certifications such as CKA, CKS or a professional-level cloud certification
  • Experience with GitOps, service meshes or multi-tenancy tools like vCluster
  • A background in customer-facing technical roles at an infrastructure or developer tools company

Don't meet every point on the list? Apply anyway. Job descriptions are a best guess at what the role needs, and we'd rather hear from you than miss out.

What success looks like

  • Within your first two months, you can run a full architecture workshop on Tantilium Cloud Runner by yourself
  • Customers you work with roll out on time, and their platform teams trust your recommendations
  • You've published at least one reference architecture that sales and solutions engineering use regularly
  • Product has a clearer picture of enterprise requirements because of the feedback you've brought back

Who you'll work with

You'll work alongside sales, account management and our solutions engineers, and closely with engineering when a customer needs something the platform doesn't do yet.
